[NEW EVENT] Thousand Cranes Charity Event

Feb 1-4: Thousand Cranes Charity Event
Location: (Tues, Wed) Mac Cory, (Thurs, Fri) ARC
Time: 12:30pm - 4pm

Happy New Year everyone! In Japanese, あけましておめでとうございます (akemashite omedetou gozaimasu)!! For the first event of the new year, we're having a charity event!

There is a Japanese legend where the folding of a thousand paper cranes is said to grant wishes. It has been popularized by the children's book called Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes, detailing the true story of a girl coping with leukemia. (To learn more about this, see Wikipedia.

This event is to fold a thousand origami paper cranes! We invite all of you to help us and to donate whatever you can. All proceeds will be given to Kingston General Hospital.

Come visit us at Mac Cory and at the ARC. You can write a wish on your paper and then fold it into a crane. If you don't know how, one of our members will gladly assist you :)
