[NEW EVENT] Sukiyaki Night

Nov 21: Sukiyaki Night
Location: QUIC (Queen's University International Center, in the JDUC)
Time: 6:30 - 9 pm
Price: $8 for members, $10 for non-members

Sukiyaki Night is here just in time for winter! Sukiyaki is a style of Japanese hotpot, perfect for filling and warming all of your stomachs!!

Sukiyaki is a dish cooked right at the table. It features thin slices of beef, lots of vegetables, and a savoury broth. Everyone puts in what they want and it cooks right in front of you. You pull out cooked vegetables and beef and eat it with steamed rice. Additionally, you are given a raw egg to dip food into, giving extra flavour! Of course, you don't have to eat it with the egg if you have concerns about raw eggs (but a 2002 study showed that only 0.003% or 1 in every 30,000 eggs are contaminated with samonella. Just so you know!).

You cook your meal around the table, so bring all your friends! Meet new people! It's a fun, interactive, and very social meal you won't want to miss!
